A video making the rounds online shows the recently elected Governor of Kogi state, Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) soaking garri at his residence.
Although the footage was recorded before the November 11 governorship election in the state, he said garri is part of him and he won’t stop taking it.
He was soaking garri and groundnut when someone questioned him about his love for the staple food, and he revealed that it was what sustained him during his university days.
The individual behind the camera playfully threatened to share the video after the Kogi Governorship elections, but Ododo declared that he will continue drinking garri.
Netizens were however not convinced about his attempt to portray himself as a common man like everybody else.
