Portugal forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest-paid footballer in the world in 2023, earning more than counterparts, Lionel Messi and Neymar in the last year, according to Forbes, Ronaldo, who owns more than 20 luxurious cars and eight properties, topped the list with expected total earnings of $260 million. The 38-year-old who plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, is also ranked as the highest-paid athlete of any sport. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner's deal with Al Nassri is thought to be worth $200m, while his endorsement portfolio is estimated to be worth $60m annually. Ronaldo's arch rival, Argentina captain Lionel Messi, is in second place with expected total earnings of $135m. Following in third place is Brazil forward, Neymar with $112m in total earnings.
