Cristiano Ronaldo has ushered his mother into the new year with a memorable gift of great value in celebration of her birthday.
The Al-Nassr forward’s mum Dolores Aveiro, clocked 69 years on Sunday, December 31 and he gifted her a brand new Porsche Cayenne reportedly worth $73,000.
He flew back to his hometown of Madeira to celebrate with her, and a video of the joyous moment she was shown her new car is circulating online.
Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr took his grandmother to where the expensive car wrapped with a huge red ribbon tied in a bow, was parked and on seeing it, Aveiro struggled to hold back the tears.
She hugged her grandson before getting into the car to have a feel as the owner. Aveiro’s family proceeded to show her how the new car works.
Ronaldo’s sister, Katia who used his gesture to pass a message about honouring ones parents, hailed him for his generous gift.
Katia posted: “If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift. Honour your father and your mother and your days on earth will be long.”
