Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke also known as Davido, has revealed that he and Portuguese football star, Cristiano Ronaldo are close friends.
He made the revelation while being interviewed on Abtalks as he talked about celebrities not being appreciated enough for all their efforts and contribution.
The artiste recalled how fans rained insults on Ronaldo after Portugal crashed out of the 2022 World Cup In Qatar after a shocking defeat by Morocco in the Quarter-finals.
Morocco, which was the first African country to go past the Quarter-finals, advanced to Semi-finals in the world cup after 1-0 win over Portugal.
Davido wondered why people were mocking Ronaldo despite everything he had done for the team.
He said; “Look at Ronaldo, when he left the World Cup, he’s my friend by the way, he’s my very good friend”
OBO added; “When he left the World Cup I remember being on the internet and I’m like ‘they were abusing him so much after everything he has done’.”
