Reality TV star and actress, Venita Akpofure, has denied having a close relationship with her colleague, Mercy Eke.
The former Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate made the clarification during a recent interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa, noting that they are not friends.
It may be recalled that Venita and Mercy who participated in the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition were very close during their stay in the just concluded BBNaija All Stars.
However, speaking of the assumption that they are close friends, the actress noted that they see about twice a year because they are not in the same circle.
Reacting to a question Toke asked her about accusation by some fans that she betrayed her friend in the house, Venita said, “I was not friends with Mercy before the show. I do see her like once or twice a year at shows or parties because we are not in each other’s circle.
“I was surprised at the narrative from fans that i betrayed my friend, Mercy Eke. I don’t wish her any ill, my hands are completely clear, my conscience is clear”.
