Primary school security guard hangs self close to classroom

A 38-year-old man, Mallam Abdullahi Ardo, has reportedly ended his life on the premises of the school where he works as a security guard in Bauchi State.

The state police command confirmed the death of the watchman and shared a photo of the deceased who hanged himself with a piece of rag on the playground near the classroom area.

Police spokesperson, Mahid Muazu Abubakar, in a statement on Tuesday, said the late Ado worked at Child Care Development Primary School in the state.

He revealed that the incident happened on Monday, November 6, and went on to urge people to check on their loved ones frequently.

The police spokesman wrote: “Please SAY NO to SU!CIDE and preach against it. A 38-year-old Mallam Abdullahi Ardo attached to Child Care Development Primary School as a watchman, was suspected to have committed su!cide in the early hours of Monday, by hanging himself using a piece of rag on a swinging pole within the school at Tudun Wada qtrs Gombe.

“This is a sad event, endeavor to check on your loved ones they might be facing serious problems that may affect their lives.

This comes barely 24 hours after the Nigerian Army rescued a woman, Mrs Francesca Spark from committing su!cide in Lagos State.

Mrs Francesca was said to have been rescued after she plunged into the Lagos Lagoon around 81 Division Officers’ Mess, Marina Lagos in an attempt to end her life.
