A Nigerian man has shared the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam, UTME result of his cousin whom he made a big promise to, if she passes exceptionally.
The guy known as Babajide, had promised to give the girl known as Joy, a plot of land in Epe area of Lagos state if she manages to scores 300 in her 2024 UTME.
According to him, she scored 170 in her last sitting and her father decided to his assistance to get his daughter to have better grades.
The real estate agent decided to use the idea of giving Joy the land to motivate her and it made the student to improve tremendously as she got 281 this year.
But Babajide heaved a sign of relief because the young girl did not score the 300 that would have qualified her to get the land in Epe, which he cannot provide.
He tweeted; “I was making mouth to my cousin when she was preparing for Jamb. Her Dad said bami ginger e ko se dada ( help me tomotivate her to do well ). Me sef started doing big uncle making promises I can’t fulfill 😂
I told her “Joy, you scored 170 something the last time right ? She said yes uncle Jide , I said okay can you make it 300 this time ? She smiled and said yes”
I asked again , are you promising that you will make it 300 this time ? She said yes . I said okay , you will get a plot of land in Epe if you do.
In the end , we aimed for the stars, and although she didn’t reach them, she still landed among the stars. Today , she sent me a WhatsApp message with a screenshot of her result showing 281. So happy to see it ! Then a call followed “ Uncle Jide , my land” I said Awe ni suru jare.”
