Kizz Daniel confirms hiring his former boss after initially denying it

Famous Afrobeats singer, Kizz Daniel has made contradictory statements regarding reports that he employed his former record label boss, Emperor Geezy of G-Worldwide.

Daniel, who appeared as a guest on the Afrobeats Podcast, hosted by Adesope Olajide, revealed that he made Emperor Geezy the new Chief Executive Officer of his imprint, Flyboy Inc, but this contradicts what was disclosed by his former manager, Louiza Williams in August.

The ‘Buga’ crooner had said in an official statement released by Williams that he did not hire the music executive, rather he only renewed his working relationship with Geezy so as to have more time to work on his music.

“When Emperor Geezy came on board, he awakened the ‘Kizz Daniel’ of where I started, and that is one thing I appreciate about him each time we work together. He is my charger. With the new arrangement, I will have more time to devote to making good music,” he added.

But in a recent interview with Adesope, Kizz Daniel said he employed Emperor Geezy as Flyboy Inc’s new CEO despite their fallout years back because he was one of those who wanted his music brand to grow.

He said; “He [Emperor Geezy] is one of the people I can trust the Kizz Daniel brand with, I know he wants this brand to grow.

“We have been friends since last year. We had died the matter [our differences]. I was just like can you hold down the label for me while I record and he said fine. He is one of the people I can trust the Kizz Daniel brand with.

“He is the type I can say you know what; you have passion for this brand and true love, not necessarily me, and I know you want this brand to grow.”
