I found out my husband’s real age our wedding day – Mr Ibu’s daughter speaks on failed marriage

Jasmine Chioma Okafor, daughter of veteran Nollywood actor, John “Mr Ibu’ Okafor, has opened up on a shocking discovery she made on her wedding day.

The content creator, who is now divorced said she found out that her UK-based estranged husband was dishonest about his age as he was actually 51 years old.

It may be recalled that in November 2022, Jasmine announced divorce from partner, alleging that he had lied to her about his previous marriage and children.

Speaking in a recent interview with famous TV personality, Chude Jideonwo, the actor’s daughter said it was on their wedding day she learnt that he was 38 years old.

According to Jasmine, she was with the estranged hubby for nine months and never took in, but he told her that he had never gotten any girl pregnant before meeting her.

She said; “I was with my ex-husband for nine months and I did not get pregnant. Now this is where the story got very tricky. This man told me he had never married and he had never gotten a lady pregnant before in his life.

“He told me he was 38 years old but I found out my husband was 51 on our wedding day, imagine finding out such a thing on a wedding day.

“Many people had different experiences with him. He promised about five girls marriages. And when I was going through my husband’s phone I started seeing a lot of girls, most of which are Yoruba, and big big TikTokers”.
