I didn’t make Don Jazzy, D’Banj reconcile – Mr Macaroni

Nigerian comedian, Mr Macaroni, has dismissed speculations that he was the brain behind the reconciliation of music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh aka Don Jazzy and veteran singer, Daniel Oyebanjo, also known as D’Banj.

The singer and producer who jointly founded Mo Hit Records in 2004 parted ways in 2012 after an internal rift and for several years, people tried to get them to reunite.

However, in what came as a shock to many, Don Jazzy and D’Banj appeared to on Friday, May 4, 2024 as there was an accompanying video of them hugging each other and sharing pleasantries.

It was part of a promotional video for the release of Dbanj’s new single, ‘Since 04,’ and it also served as a birthday gift for Mr Macaroni, who clocked a new age on Friday.

The excited skit-maker, who had always wanted D’Banj and Jazzy to reconcile, reposted the clip on his Twitter (X) page and wrote; “It’s My Birthday and I got the perfect Gift.”

In March 2013, Mr Macaroni tweeted that he has the feeling he will be the person to get the former label mates to reconcile

“I Have This Feeling, A Very Strong Feeling; That I Will Reconcile D’banj And Don jazzy,” the content creator had written.

However, amid speculations that he finally intervened, Mr Macaroni admitted to not being the one who initiated the reconciliation.

He wrote; “Well, I didn’t do any reconciliation because they have been cool. But I’m so glad I can come back to this tweet and smile because Jah knows I have always loved these two with all my heart.”

After Mo Hit Records was disbanded, Don Jazzy went on to establish known as Mavin Records and took along with him, Tiwa S@vage, D’ Prince, Dr. Sid and Wande Coal. While D’Banj secured a short-lived deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music.
