Doing ‘Gen Z baddies, Zaddy won’t solve problems – Spryro narrates how his mum’s prayer made him a star
Nigerian music sensation, Spyro has expressed concerns over the next generation of parents and how they intend to train their children.
He took to his Instagram page to raise questions while appreciating his mother because her prayer is what transformed him from a ‘write off’ to the star he is today.
The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ hit-maker said during his childhood, he was the odd one who seemed like he will never be great in life, but there was also a prophecy that stated he will turn out well.
Spyro revealed that his mum once burst into tears when she visited him in boarding school and saw the disorganised, however, she still gave him words of affirmation.
He said she never stopped believing in the prophecy and continued praying for him. The singer stressed the importance of having prayerful parents and pointed out that life problems do not respond to Gen Z baddie, Bad bxtch and Zaddy lifestyles that the young ones live now.
Sharing photos of him and his mother, Spyro wrote; “When I was a kid, I was far from greatness … I was the odd one ,more like the rejected stone .I was a write off 😊 I remember my mum coming to visit me in boarding school one day and she bursted into tears after seeing the mess I was BUT in all of these she would call me and say “I know you are great ,God told me and many prophets have confirmed it and if God has said it ,IT WILL HAPPEN”
I grew up and things got really tough but she never for once stopped telling me “SANMI , OGO E MA TAN KARI AYE “ and she will look at me and say “except it’s not GOD that said it” she held on to the prophesy constantly praying ,even when I lost hope she kept #FAITH and SUDDENLY in 2023 out of nowhere everything changed 🥲
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A PRAYING MOTHER 😎 and this makes me wonder if m3n and women of my generation can pray as our parents did cos WHO WILL STAND IN THE GAP FOR THESE NEW KIDS” 🤔 life troubles do not recognize “BAD BITCH” “GENZ BADDIES” “ZADDY” “BIG BOY” life problems only respond to power
