Teni explains why she prostrated to greet IBD Dende during flight

Popular singer, Teni, has explained why she prostrated to greet businessman and socialite, Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, better known as IBD Dende, during a recent flight.

Temi faced heavy backlash on Friday when she shared a video on Twitter of her very excitedly prostrating to greet IBD Dende when they met on a plane.

She was chided for associating with the businessman who was alleged to have engaged in smuggling activities as shown in some videos that went viral weeks ago.

Reacting on Saturday, May 4 Teni explained that she wasn’t aware of any criminal activities associated with IBD Dende.

She recalled meeting businessman in 2014 and how he showed her kindness even before she hit stardom, and since then she has held him in high esteem. The songstress, however, noted that she does not support criminals.

The ‘Billionaire’ singer wrote; “ Met IBD in 2014 and he was so good to me, even before I blew up. So when[ever] I see him, it’s always love.

“I honestly had no knowledge of any criminal activities associated with him. I do not support criminals, so let the law take its course.”

In an earlier post, she talked about the numerous charitable acts she has carried out which include getting kids into several top institutions in Nigeria, including Babcock, Covenant University, Redeemers and others.

Teni wrote; “I Got 20 Kids In School, 10 Private University Students, 3 In Babcock, 3 In C.U, 3 In Reedemers And 1 In Aun, 10 Kids In Private Secondary Schools, 3 In The East, 3 In Lagos And 1 In Jos. All In Boarding School.

I Pay And Take Care Of Their Fees, And Im Active In Their Lives. What Have You Done ???? As A Citizen Of This Country”.
