We want to give him befitting burial – Actress Tonto Dikeh demands Mohdad’s body from police

Famous Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh has urged the Nigerian Police to release the body of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, for burial.

She made the request through her Instagram page on Friday night while lamenting the force’s sluggishness in completing the investigation into his death.

Dikeh, who has been following up on the matter, sisted that justice must prevail in the death of the artiste which happened under controversial circumstances.

MohBad died at 27 on September 12 and he was buried just a day later, but his body was exhumed by police authorities for autopsy.

Dikeh wrote; “Give us Mohbad for a befitting burial. We are tired of your carelessness and slowness. If no one speaks, I will.

“I have invested too much of my emotions, time, and love to see this Justice go through. As QM says, give the police more time. Honestly, we have given you all the more time than necessary. This is not the case to be swept under. We want Justice.”

Her demand came after the Lagos State Police Command released famous singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley and his associate Samson Erinfolami Balogun alias Sam Larry.

Spokesperson for the Lagos State police, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were released from custody after meeting their bail conditions.

In a tweet on Friday, Hundeyin wrote; “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”

A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State on November 6, granted Azeez and Samson bail in the sum of N20 million with three sureties.

The duo had earlier been arraigned and remanded on October 6 over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of a popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
