Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Tonto Dikeh has declared support for Iyabo Ojo in a legal battle against famous rapper, Naira Marley.
Iyabo Ojo counter-sued the Marlian Music boss for ‘deliberately misleading the public’. She demanded N1billion damages from the artiste after being earlier served a N500 million lawsuit by his lawyers for defamation of character.
CorrectNG reported days ago that Naira Marley took legal steps against the movie star, and demanded a public apology or be ready to pay N500 million in damages.
In response, Iyabo called out the singer’s legal team for not serving her the lawsuit by hand or through mail, and instead preferring to disseminate it online.
Sharing the legal letter, she wrote: “RESPONSE TO THE LETTER FROM MR OLALEKAN OJO SAN DELIBERATELY CIRCULATED OVER SOCIAL AND PRINT MEDIA WITHOUT DESERVING COURTESY TO SERVE ME. I look forward to hearing from them in no distant time, please. Yours sincerely, Iyabo Ojo.”
However, reacting to this on her Instagram page on Tuesday, December 19, Tonto Dike stated that she and Iyabo started the fight together.
Sharing a copy of Iyabo’s N1 billion counterclaim, she wrote: “We started together, we end it together. Regardless.”
