Tobi Amusan, a renowned hurdler and athlete from Nigeria, has acknowledged that she is facing consequences for breaching anti-doping regulations. The violation in question involves her failure to undergo three drug tests within a one-year period.
On Tuesday, July 18, Amusan took to her Instagram account to disclose the news and expressed her determination to contest the accusations. She intends to challenge the allegations promptly so that she can defend her title at the upcoming World Championships in Budapest next month
She wrrote;
“I am a clean athlete and I am regularly; (maybe more than the usual) tested by the AIU- I was tested within days of my third “missed test”. I have faith that this will be resolved in my favor and that I will be competiting at the World Championships in August,” Amusan said.
