Snoop Dogg quits smoking after 34 years

American rap veteran, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. professionally known as Snoop Dogg, has announced his decision to quit smoking.

The Hip Hop mogul made the announcement via his social media accounts on Thursday, adding that he made the decision after having the conversation with his family.

The 52-year-old multi award winning artiste further urged the public to respect his privacy during this time.

Snoop Dogg said; “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”

He captioned the post: “I’m giving up smoke.”

CorrectNG recalls that the rapper disclosed in an exclusive preview on Martha Stewart’s iHeartRadio podcast in 2022 that he started smoking at the age of 18.

Also, on the Howard Stern Show with actor Seth Rogen, Snoop Dogg revealed that he hired a full-time staffer whose sole job it is to roll his blunts, who earns between $40k to $50k. The avowed cannabis fan said he just doesn’t have the time to roll it himself.

“That’s his J-O-B, his occupation. On his resume it says, ‘what do you do?’ ‘I’m a blunt roller.’ P-B-R, professional blunt roller. That mxtherfxcker’s timing is impeccable,” Snoop Dogg said to Howard Stern.
