Iyanya vows to recover Mayorkun’s stolen jewelry, offers $500 reward

Nigerian music star, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk simply known by his stage name, Iyanya, has vowed to help his colleague, Mayorkun recover his stolen diamond jewelry.

Two of Mayorkun’s jewelry were stolen while in Calabar, Cross River state, during the Christmas festival on Monday night.

Iyanya was able to help him get one of the pendant back and he decided to offer a reward for the return of the second one.

He wrote; “$500 if we get the second pendant Money is at The Grand Hotel Calabar.”

In another post, the ‘My Lady’ crooner thanked the governor of Cross River state, Bassey Otu for intervening in the matter.

He assured Mayorkun that the incident will never happen again and noted that he will ensure he brings the former DMW artiste to Calabar again.

Iyanya wrote on Twitter; “One thing you can never take from a leader is when he steps in on issues and deal with it decisively.

Thank you to The Executive Governor Of Cross river State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu for making sure @Mayorkun Stayed back till you returned and met him personally to apologize for the incident and Thank you for the Gift🙏🏿

@Mayorkun I will personally make sure we return to calabar for another show, this will never happen again and I assure my other colleagues who have been billed to perform in Calabar, just know you will be safe and most importantly enjoy the city.

My City Calabar is safe and we have the best in everything, we will do all we can to make sure you get the best hospitality.”
