Nigerian singer, Iyanya has expressed thanks to a man for returning one of Mayorkun’s diamond pendants which was stolen in Calabar, Cross River state.

Mayorkun who performed at the Calabar Festival on Monday night, lamented bitterly after he was robbed of two of his expensive jewelry.

However, Iyanya who is a native of Cross River offered to compensate anybody who can retrieve the stolen pendants or that has information about how to get them back.

“My Calabar people, this is very bad for the peaceful people I know us to be. The government has brought my colleagues to entertain you, all you owe them is protection and great hospitality.

If you know anyone who stole from my brother, please return it and I will personally compensate you. Drop it at THE GRAND HOTEL 🏨 I will personally compensate you PLEASE,” the Kukere singer tweeted.

Giving an update via his official Twitter (X) page, Iyanya shared a photo of one of the pendants that has been recovered and wrote;

“Thank you the guy who brought this back this morning to THE GRAND HOTEL CALABAR. Just returned now is 1 of 2 of @Mayorkun jewery. We have one more to go, my brothers if you have the second one please help us return it.

This one is still not been found, please check around, I’m sure we have it somewhere and will please return the second one to our brother, before he leaves Calabar. Just got Grand Hotel Calabar and drop it there, there’s a reward waiting for you on arrival.”
