Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ finalist, Pere Egbi has left ‘shippers’ total heartbroken with his recent revelation about his relationship with Mercy Eke.
The actor said he and Mercy are not dating, and he decided to make the clarification because the rumours that they are a couple was starting to become widespread.
Pere took to his Twitter account on Wednesday to plead with fans to desist from mentioning both of them as a couple in conversations.
He wrote: “Dear shippers, while I appreciate your efforts and care from inception, I would love to be clear on one thing: I am not dating Mercy Eke. So please cease with the flowers mentioning her name. This is as concise as I can be.”

CorrectNG recalls that Pere recently stated that he and Mercy Eke have decided to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
The love birds had developed feelings and grew fond of each other in the final week of the reality show when they were down to six housemates.
Pere appeared as a guest on a TVC programme and he gave update on how the ‘ship’ is sailing, saying they are cool but have decided to go low-key with their relationship.
He said; “We [Mercy and I] are friends and we are just keeping everything out of the public. Let’s see where it goes.”
On the post-show drama going online, especially between female BBNaija stars, the actor said; “Women are full of drama. So, they are just doing them. And they’re just being women. Maybe we would all just sit down with some popcorn and watch the drama unfold.”
He said if he had the chance to change anything he did in the BBNaija house, he would be have made his co-housemates see the other side of him like in his first season.
Pere said; “I’d be a lot more firmer. I took it easy on a lot of the housemates and they were lucky. Because if they were in my season ‘Shine Ya Eye’ 2019, dem for hear am.”
