I’d rather die than allow Mercy win BBNaija again – Ike Onyema [Video]

Big Brother Naija season 8 contestant housemate, Ike Onyema, has vowed to make sure that his former love interest, Mercy Eke does not become a two-time winner of the reality show.

He spoke on Friday while having a chat with Doyin on Fiday about his past mistakes and new game plan in the All Stars edition of the show.

Ike said he would rather die than allow Mercy to go home with the grand prize of N120 million, adding that he would actively sabotage her.

“Pere and Kidd asked if I still liked Mercy, I told them I have fans that have been fasting and praying for me to be nice to this girl… but Mercy no go win this money.

“I rather die, I go sabotage till the end…. That girl took money from me (many deals outside and the money she won).

“Kidd was asking me, maybe, so that he could pursue her. I told him to do whatever he likes, I hate that question,” he said.

Former Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ housemate, Linda “Princess” Onyejekwe said the N120 million grand prize can be made in many different ways.

Her statement came amid backlash she faced over a claim that she is in a relationship with a billionaire which was why she was reserved in the BBNaija house.

She felt bad being the first housemate to be evicted this season, and noted that she did not expect to be evicted from the show as quickly as she was.

She said; “I still feel bad. But, there is nothing I can do about it. I just have to move on, and focus on my businesses.

“I did not see it coming. I still do not believe I should be out of the house yet. I felt I was the only one being real in the house, but it seems people did not realise that. In one’s everyday life, one doesn’t get to stir up drama for no reason.

“N120m is quite an incentive, though I only knew about the prize money when we got into the house. However, one can make that money in many different ways (without winning the show). As for me, I chose to look at the bigger picture.”

Asked if she had any unresolved issues with the members of the jury; Mike Edwards, Bisola Aiyeola and Dorathy Bachor, who are also past contestants on different editions of the show, she said; “I don’t think I have any personal ‘beef’ with any member of the eviction jury. I might not be familiar with them, but I did not think familiarity was a criterion in Biggie’s house.

I also did not know that I would be judged by a jury. If I had known about them, perhaps, I would have been better prepared mentally. When my name was called, I knew I could not have had the least number of votes, and that is true.”
