I used to sleep on the floor in Phyno’s house – Rapper Zoro

Nigerian Hip Hop artiste, Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner also known as Zoro, has shared his grass to grace story and how he was supported by Phyno.

The ‘042’ crooner sat down for a chat on the Zero Conditions podcast, where he revealed that popular rapper Phyno accommodated him at some point during the early days of his music career.

Zoro said he was sleeping on the floor in one of the empty rooms in the house of the Penthauze Record label boss’ before his hit song ‘Ogene’ gained traction.

He said, “When my song ‘Ogene’ dropped, I was still in Phyno’s house. I was sleeping in an empty room that didn’t had a bed.

I just had my shirt that I tie my dirty clothes on and use it as pillow and sleep on the floor. I loaned money to fund the video of ‘Ogene’. Flavour also supported me.”

Zoro further disclosed that he left Phyno’s house in 2016 after someone stole the ‘Alobam’ hit maker’s money.

Nigerian Highlife and Afrobeat duo, Ajebo Hustlers have disclosed that their friends advised them to quit music in the early days of their career.

The group comprises of singer, Isaiah Precious aka “Piego” and George Dandeson aka “Knowledge” a rapper.

According to the singers, their friends said it made no sense for them to continue to doing music because they weren’t making a fortune from the profession.

Ajebo Hustlers said; “We squatted with K-Switch in 2016. I’m no playing. 2017 nothing was popping. It was 2018, we were still trying to push and then we made a record in 2019 with King Perry. I think we were squatting somewhere then.

“That time we were squatting because music was not working and you now have friends that are telling you, omo, thus music is not working, you sure say you try enter street.”
