Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, known by his stage name, Davido, has lashed out at colleague, Dammy Krane over allegations that he owes him money.
Krane had earlier claimed that he wrote a song for the DMW boss years ago and he still owed him royalties for it.
He recently reminded the Omo Baba Olowo about the debt via Twitter and appealed to Davido to pay him for the sake of his daughter.
In reaction, Davido said the ‘Amin’ crooner also never paid him for three verses him gave him in his songs, ‘In Case Of Incasity’, ‘Gbetiti’, and ‘Izzue’.
The FEM hit-maker added he now charges $150,000 per verse, which means Dammy Krane is owing him $450,000 for the three features.
OBO who quoted Krane’s tweet where he boasted about being the first person to give Davido the tag ‘On the beat is Davido,’ also said that he housed and fed him when he was homeless in Atlanta years ago, and he is yet to be paid for all that.
The My Dear hit-maker tweeted; “Who brought out this tweet 😂 factually I was the first person to call David “On the Beat is Davido” when he produced “Pooner” for me in 2010 ( 13 years ago) we was like “ Dbanj & Donjazzy” 🤣”
In response, the DMW boss wrote, “I never got paid for that also my 3 verses I’ve gifted you all your dead career … .. oh yea plus my royalties , we charge now so that’s about $150k x3 a verse.. also house rent and food when u stayed in my house in Atlanta when you were homeless.”
