How Zlatan helped me get my first record deal – Shallipopi

Fast-rising musician, Crown Uzama also known by his stage name, Shallipopi has recalled how rapper, Zlatan Ibile gave his career the boost it needed.

He said that he reached out to the ‘Lagos Anthem’ crooner via social media and much to his shock, the Hip Hop star replied.

Speaking in an interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, Shallipopi said he asked Zlatan Ibile to hop on the remix of his song, Elon Musk.

The 23-year-old Plutomania crooner revealed that when he hit the studio wit him, that was where he met his now (former) record label boss, Dapper, the CEO of Dvpper Music.

The budding singer recently left Dvpper Music to launch Plutomania Records and signed two new artistes.

Shallipopi also said that he reached out to a number of artistes for the remix but Zlatan was the only person who replied him and without delay.

He said; “I said let me message Zlatan so that he will reply me. I said ‘Baba abeg oh make we do remix for this Elon Musk song oh’, ASAP e just show seen I just faint. He said ‘Okay I am coming to Nigeria today.
