Comedian Destalker names senior colleagues who are allegedly trying to ruin his career

Nigerian comedian, Destalker has accused veteran comedians, Basketmouth and Gordons of not wanting him to grow in the comedy industry.

The 39-year-old made the allegations when he appeared as a guest in an episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast co-hosted by actor, OAP Nedu.

According to Destalker, his name was struck out in the past with some prospective sponsors and it was because of the aforementioned comic acts.

The stand-up comedian whose real name is Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, wondered how a comedian like himself could not get sponsors for his shows, despite bagging the title of Best Comedian for five years.

“How can I win best comedian for five years, I do show, no sponsor? I wrote proposals, there are companies that agreed to come in, but they would say, ‘Okay, I will talk to some of your senior colleagues.’ That is my problem.

“Somebody called me one day and said, ‘What do you have with Basketmouth?’ I said nothing and he said go and beg him,” he alleged.

Destalker also dismissed clams that he uses voodoo to sell out his shows.

“When Akpororo dey hot, I believe say he was using something. Everybody wants to be successful. Your dream is to become successful. Now, do you know some people’s dream is to make sure you are not successful?” he said.
