Bring Mason Greenwood back – Ex-Man Utd star

Former Manchester United midfielder, Ravel Morrison has urged the Premier League club to bring Mason Greenwood back to Old Trafford next year.

Recall that Greenwood joined Getafe on a season-long loan from Man United in August, following an internal club investigation into his conduct.

His contract at Old Trafford will expire in the summer of 2025. The English player was arraigned in court over attempted rape, assault and coercive control, but the charges were dropped in February.

Since joining Getafe on loan, Greenwood has been playing consistently after over 17 months off the pitch.

The 22-year-old forward scored five goals and laying on four assists in his first 15 appearances for Getafe.

He produced another impressive performance against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, helping his side rescue a 3-3 draw against the host.

His performance impressed Morrison, who advocated through Twitter for Erik Ten Hag to take Greenwood back.

He wrote in reply to match highlights: “What a player. United need to bring him back.”

Meanwhile, Greenwood earlier told friends that he will never play for Manchester United again.

A source had told The Sun: “Mason believes he’s finished at United. He’s sat at home kicking his heels and very frustrated.

He wants to get back playing football but realises his situation is very complicated and it’s his own doing. He is determined to play football again but doesn’t think he’ll ever pull on a United shirt ever again.”
