A Nigerian man known as Mr Shizzy has accused Afrobeats sensation, Ahmed Ololade also known as Asake, of not caring about his fans.
He took to Twitter to call out the singer and remind him of how he used to engage fans on social media when he just hit the spotlight.
Shizzy pointed out that he did funny promos, introduced dance challenges, interacted with fans to know how they felt about his song, but noted that since he grew bigger, he began to snub his fanbase, does not retweet their posts or even do giveaways.
According to him, it is Olamide that has been helping the artiste to do promotion and relate with his fans online.
He explained that Asake dropped his debut album ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’ which is doing well globally, but he does not grant interviews or even have one interactive session with fans
He compared Asake to his boss Olamide, saying that when the latter first started, he used to acknowledge his fans for about eight years till he soft peddaled.
Shizzy suggested that the Joha crooner should be having more interviews and promote his project more aggressive because Olamide won’t be there for him forever.
He wrote; “@asakemusik last year when you just started popping, i remembered how you use to engage your fans, you were always doing challenge for each of your songs, from promoting Omo opę with singlet and Odęku from Junction to junction, doing dance challenge for Joha, but now it seems you don’t even care anymore, you dropped an Album that is topping almost every chart in UK but common Interview in UK you are not doing.
You have a show in O2 in few months from now but no presence of you in UK, you don’t retweet what your fans post about you, it’s Olamide Baddo that is helping you to engage your fans, when Olamide started, Olamide was very consistent for at least straight 8 years going all out to interact with his fans granting both Local and international interview, doing different dance Challenge, but you think it’s time to relax my brother work plenty.
You need to be granting both Local and International interview, go all out for your songs, this is not the time to relent, now is the time to go all out for your project, Olamide won’t be here every time. Stop showing nonchalant attitude to your Project.”
