Young Nigerians have rallied round on the back of the protests raging across the country in demand of an end to police brutality and are debating over the formulation of a youth-centric political party, Youth Democratic Party.
One of the top trends on Twitter on Wednesday, October 14, is #YouthDemocraticParty and it is a clarion call for youths to focus more on voting in young candidates against the 2023 elections and all other elections moving forward.
According to tweets under the hashtag, Nigerian youths want a complete overhaul of the system that has failed since independence.
Many are of the opinion that the older generation failed astronomically and for too long a time, hence the reason why it is necessary for the younger generation to takeover the system.
On financial support for the creation and running of the party, a twitter user suggested that an online fundraiser be created so that youths would collectively donate to enable them register the party and support candidates.

Our leaders want to be in power for the rest of their lives and does not want the youth to succeed them which is why the POWER keeps circulating all around them.
SARS with another title.
