Young Nigerian buys first car, recreates viral moment of man admiring his new ride till daybreak

A young Nigeran man, Abdullahi Garba has achieved his dream of buying a car and recreating a viral photo of a man who refused to sleep after he acquired a vehicle.

It may be recalled that an African American man made headlines two years ago when his nephew revealed how he went out at 3am just to stare at his new car till the break of dawn.

The guy had taken to his Twitter account to share the story at the time and posted a photo of his uncle admiring his whip.

It had always been Abdullahi’s desire to recreate that moment, so on May 26, 2023 he spoke it into existence.

The Nigerian quoted a tweet which was a copied version of the original tweet and wrote;

“Really hope i recreate this soon.”

Fast-forward to 5th of June 2023, he gave an update after becoming the owner of a Toyota Corolla.

He shared photos of him recreating the 2am pose alongside a snapshot of the purchase receipt and captioned; “And we did it👏🏾❤️.”

Meanwhile, Yoruba movie star, Iya Gbonkan has lamented over not being able to afford a car after several years in Nollywood.

She said that she has been acting for decades yet she still hops on commercial buses to transport herself to different locations.

The actress, fondly known for her diabolic roles in movies, lamented in a viral video about her situation and begged Nigerians for assistance.

The 64-year-old called on people to celebrate her now she’s still among the living, not killing a cow when she has passed on.

Iya Gbonkan said: “I have been acting for decades yet I don’t have a car. I jump on buses every day. If I die now, you will kill a cow. Celebrate me now that I am alive. I need a car from my fans”.
