Young man buys N1 million Keke Napep after saving N2,500 daily

A commercial tricycle rider, (Keke rider), Abdul Hakeem, has narrated how he was able to purchase his tricycle after following a strict saving plan.

The Kano based Keke driver said he was able to raise N1 million to pay for his tricycle within 67 weeks.

Hakeem revealed that he took the tricycle on higher purchase to start Keke Napep business and paid in installments till it became his own.

In a chat with Legit, he said that he paid N15,000 weekly but had difficulties keeping up with the regular payment.

The 25-year-old, however, said that it took him a total of 67 weeks to pay off the entire N1 million. Hakeem added that while working as a keke rider, he saved between N2,000 to N2,500 daily to meet up his target.

He said: “I paid it weekly. N15,000 every week, for 67 weeks. It was very difficult, but I worked hard to make it.”
