Rising Nigerian singer and social media sensation, Young Duu has reacted to the decision of famous content creator, Carter Efe to claim his own song.
He and the skit-maker recently collaborated on a track which the ex-Zeh Nation signee dropped vocals on, but when it was released, Young Duu’s name was missing both as the owner and featured artiste.
The song titled ‘Oyinmo’ which was released on Apple Music, has now been deleted from the global music streaming platform.
Young Duu addressed the fact that Carter Efe’s name was written as the owner of the track, but he dismissed claims that the online comedian is trying to rip him off.
In a video making the rounds online, he explained that it he didn’t want his name to be on the track and it was released with Carter’s name because he personally requested it.
He said he was more interested in money in Lagos state than taking credit for the song but also stressed that his voice is his money regardless.
Carter Efe’s claim of ownership of Oyinmo angered social media users as they stated that it is same thing he did to Berri Tiga with their hit song, Machala.
