Budding singer, Joshua Iniyezo alias Solidstar, has revealed that he was introduced to hard drugs by a group of young boys three years ago.
He said they persuaded him to start taking cystal meth commonly called ice, and that was the beginning of his battle with drug addiction.
Solidstar made the revelation during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast as he recalled how the drugs intoxicated and controlled him into thinking that he was a king.
According to him, the ice made him think that as a royal leader, he can enter any establishment and collect anything he wants without paying.
He also disclosed that the substance affected him heavily and it even made him trek from Awoyaya to a popular Hotel in Lagos state.
Solidstar said; “A lot of things happen to me, young boys introduced me to this substance called ice. This was three years back. This thing really do bad, affect me a lot.
Sometimes this substance go tell me say ‘You’e a King’, e go tell me say I be king I no suppose pay for stuff. Can you believe I waka from Awoyaya to Orient@l Hotel”

Nigerian actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, earlier expressed sadness over the mental health challenges being faced by Solidstar.
It may be recalled that his brother, Joseph Iniyezo cried out for help in a video shared on the artiste’s Instagram page last August, saying he was going through some mental health issues and in desperate need of support.
Joseph revealed that Solidstar was critically sick for a while now that’s why he has been away from the microphone for some time.
In reaction via her Instastory days after the plea, Tonto indicated her desire to reach out to the management or family of Solidstar. She recounted how the singer made efforts to ensure that she had a successful music career years ago.
She wrote; “How can I get through to Solidstar’s management or family? That’s my street blood mehn. Dude was ready to sacrifice it all for me to do well musically. Na me no just hear word! Never charged a penny, never get a gift, not even a hug. Such a selfless human. I’m hurting that he has strong men and he is still outside. O wrong.”
