A young boy who wishes to continue his secondary education has stormed the streets to solicit assistance from well-meaning persons.

The boy identified as James Wachira took to a busy traffic location in Kenya holding a placard with details of the type of assistance he is looking. According to the young boy, he needs to raise school fees to enroll into a school named Thika High.

A motorist who saw him took a snapshot and posted it on social media for anyone willing to help the boy.

James stood in traffic holding the placard up high as cars passed by. It is not immediately clear if he is an orphan or the conditions that made him take such action, but many netizens have already started to ask for the boy’s whereabouts.

On the cardboard was the inscription; ”PLEASE HELP ME JAMES WACHIRA RAISE SCHOOL FEES TO JOIN THIKA HIGH. GOD WILL BLESS YOU.”

He added a number (0791489589), which many say looks like a phone number, but it is yet to be ascertained if it is for a relative or James.

While some offered to help, others expressed worry over the boy’s safety and government’s failure in ensuring education for all.

@Thuosteve; Old Boys want to ensure he goes to school. The number is not going through

@SimonPeterKE said; Stop using kids to raise money. There is too much that is wrong with that. You know that, don’t you?

@OkoechL; This is now the trend. Good write up, give a kid or a woman to stand at strategic places targeting the rich then take a photo and post it online as you tag the useless bloggers for it to trend. Commercialization
