Yoruba influencers’ silence amid killings in South-West is deafening – LP’s Rhodes-Vivour

The 2023 governorship candidate of Labour Party in Lagos state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has criticised influencers from the South-west for not speaking up against the wanton killings in the region.

He took to his Twitter account on Friday to call them out amid the reports of three traditional rulers being killed by armed herdsmen within a space of two days.

The Lagos LP flagbearer lamented that Yoruba influencers’ silence is deafening now, but when election comes in about three years, their bigotry will be loud.

He spoke in response to Adetutu Balogun who tweeted; “Within 2 weeks, Fulani terrorists entered Yorubaland, killed 3 Obas. The silence of the so-called Yoruba influencers on twitter is deafening!

This is a reminder that those who started the Yoruba Ronu movement are the REAL “akotileta, omo ale” because a true Yoruba that is not an Omo ale will speak out!”

Quoting the post, Gbadebo tweeted; “Their silence is deafening, but in three years, their bigotry will be loud.”
