A former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon has dispelled rumours of his death which made the rounds on Monday night.
Social media was thrown into a sadness in the late hours of October 9 when reports started circulating online that the ex-Nigerian leader had passed on.
But in a statement sent to NTA by his media aide, Adeyeye E. Ajayi, on Monday, Gowon said he is alive and not in a hurry to leave the world.
The former military leader said; “I am still around and well. I am not in a hurry”.
