Xenophobia: Madagascar withdraws from international friendly game against South Africa

Madagascar football team has withdrawn from an international friendly game with South African Football team slated to hold on Saturday, September 7.

This is because of the xenophobic attack which happened recently in South Africa. Madagascar is not the only country that has pulled out from an international friendly game against South Africa, Zambian Football Team also pulled out for same reason.

Bafana Bafana official Twitter page tweeted:

Breaking News: SAFA regrets to inform the public that the match between Bafana Bafana and Madagascar scheduled for this coming Saturday (7 September) has been called off after the visitors (Madagascar) decided to withdraw from the encounter.
