‘Working with Burna Boy sick’ – Jorja Smith

British singer, Jorja Smith has opened up on her experience working with Grammy winning Nigerian artiste, Damini “Burna Boy” Ogulu.

The 26-year-old songwriter described collaborating with Odogwu as “sickening” because the self-acclaimed African Giant crooner doesn’t write his songs.

Jorja and Burna Boy have worked together on two separate songs. They collaborated on her hit song, ‘Be Honest’ and ‘Gum Body’ off the Afrobeats star’s 2019 album, ‘African Giant.’

According to Afrobeats Villa, the Grammy nominated songstress said Burna Boy was only freestyling anything that came to him in the studio until it made sense.

Jorja said; “Working with Burna Boy is sick. He was just freestyling whatever was coming to him over and over again until it made sense”.

Legendary American rapper, Busta Rhymes has reminisced on his collaboration with Nigerian reggae and dancehall star, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy.

Busta Rhymes featured the self-acclaimed African Giant on ‘Roboshotta’, a track off his latest album, ‘Blockbusta.’

Speaking during an interview with BBC Radio Capital Xtra, he said working with Burna Boy was one of his most incredible experiences.

According to Busta Rhymes, the Grammy winner is fast, efficient and doesn’t waste time when he knows what he is targeting.

He said; ”Working with Burna Boy was one of the most incredible experiences I had in my life. Because he’s fast, efficient and very clear. When he knows what he’s gonna do, he ain’t wasting no time. And he’s super dangerously cold with it.”

On how the collaboration came to be, Busta Rhymes said he played about five songs for Burna Boy and he chose to jump on ‘Roboshotta’ which was produced by American legend, Pharell Williams.
