Will it stand the test of time? – Daniel Regha slams Ruger for bragging about his song being No. 1

Nigerian social media commentator, Daniel Regha has taken a swipe at Afrobeats sensation, Ruger for being braggadocious.

He lambasted the musician for bragging about his recently released song, Asiwaju peaking at number 1 on the music charts.

According to Regha, though the single has clinched the top spot, there is no guarantee that it will stand the test of time.

He said Asiwaju is not unique and brought up the recent revelation that artistes pay streaming farms to make their songs dominate online.

The Influencer tweeted; ”Ruger is bragging about his song Asiwaju peaking at No. 1; But it’s not just by dominating charts, will the song stand the test of time? Cos the song !sn’t unique. Besides, it’s no news that artistes nowadays dominate the charts with the help of payo!a & bot streams. No shades.”

Meanwhile, CorrectNG reported earlier that Daniel Regha called on award-winning rapper and music executive, Olamide to drag skit-maker Carter Efe to court.

He claims the content creator sampled Asake’s song, and said that if he did it without permission then the YBNL boss should sue him.

Asake is signed to Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation.

CorrectNG reports that Carter recently hit the studio to record and drop a new song titled; Ololade Mi Carter featuring singer, Funny Muller.

In reaction to the release, Regha said Efe is riding on the back of the Organise crooner’s and other artistes’ to build his own career.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote; ”Olamide needs to sue Carter Efe for sampling Asake’s song (if he didn’t ask for permission). People are overlooking this but Efe is trying to build his career at the expense of other artistes by stea!ing music, copying songs & using their names for clout. That’s beyond pathetic.”
