Wike was right about you lacking integrity – Tinubu blasts Atiku

Presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state was right when he referred to the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), candidate, Atiku Abubakar as a man that lacks integrity.

According to Tinubu, the former Vice President has nothing to offer Nigerians because he was part of the PDP’s 16-year rule that plundered Nigeria’s wealth.

The APC candidate was speaking during the presidential campaign rally in Kano state on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

Tinubu said Atiku is deceiving Nigerians and he urged the people of Kano not to allow themselves be fooled into voting PDP back to power.

He said: “Neither Atiku nor his party can keep their promise. Tell me how they will keep their promise to the nation. No wonder their party is in tatters! Governor Wike was right when he talked about a lack of integrity, saying ‘look at the man and his history.’

“We can make Nigeria better, safer, and more prosperous. We can educate our youth, feed our people and put an end to fear. We can do these things. We can move you forward.

“But the others cannot. They want to hold you back so that only they can move forward. They offer nothing but fake promises and easy answers that hold no water. All they can show you is how to hate your fellow Nigerian and reject your neighbour.”

Wike earlier attacked Atiku by accusing him of refusing to honour the rotational policy of the PDP and refusing to prevail on the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu to resign.

Similarly, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, threw jabs at his opponents in the 2023 presidential election.

He said his credentials are credible and weighty, making him the best candidate to become Nigeria’s next president, Peoples Gazette reports.

In a video posted on Twitter, the former governor of Kano state who answered questions in Hausa language, said he has a rich understanding of how government at key levels work.

He said; “Nigerians should vote wisely this time around, as the country needs someone who can save it. I’ve worked with the ministry of defence, served as the Kano state governor and represented Kano Central senatorial district for several years with enough knowledge to know what is needed.”

The former senator also touted his educational qualifications as being superior to that of his opponents.

“I am a PhD holder, unlike a secondary school cert holder or diploma cert holder. I do not bed wet nor am I a spare tyre,” Kwankwaso added.
