The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, has been criticized by the state’s chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) following his verbal attacks on the federal government. The party stated that it was evident that Wike talks before he thinks following his constant attacks on the federal government.

According to DAILY POST, Chris Finebone,  the party’s publicity secretary in the state, in a statement advised the governor to bury his head in shame after his party milked the nation dry in its 16 years of leadership.
“It is unfortunate that the governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike talks before he thinks and in the process commits needless goofs. While other PDP governors are keeping their tongues in check because they know the role of PDP in the fate all Nigerians are suffering today, only Wike exhibits unwarranted and embarrassing verbal incontinence every now and then.
“Every patience by Rivers people that their governor will rise to conduct his public speaking with candor expected of a governor has been dashed as if he is the only governor in the present dispensation who came into office unprepared and unqualified. It may well be so though.
“Gov. Nyesom Wike has no moral plank to stand upon to talk about how the federal government is fighting corruption having hidden behind a curious court judgment to escape justice in the past. He should be patient until his immunity as governor expires so that he can better assess how good or bad the anti-corruption fight is being fought.

“The Rivers State governor has been challenged by the former governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to go to court with his kangaroo indictment report and prosecute him(Amaechi) but Wike keep shying away from doing the needful because he knows that what he contrived against former governor Amaechi cannot stand the legal test of time.
“Two years into his government, Gov. Wike is still on the campaign rostrum. For him, governance means politics, little wonder he has placed politics above governance. In all of this, Rivers people are the losers while he feathers his nest with a secret budget for the second year.
“It is important that all of the afflictions PDP bequeathed on the body polity of Nigeria by Gov. Wike and his PDP will painstakingly be addressed by the APC in fullness of time, recession or no recession. But if Wike and the PDP are dreaming of coming to power in 2019, they are very free to continue in their hallucination as punishment for their negative past and large scale rape of the Nigerian state by the PDP. It’s not going to happen.” said Finebone.
