Why people in relationship should dump their ‘besties’ – Diva Gold

Nigerian actress and content creator, Olukemi Niyi-Aluko, professionally known as Diva Gold, has opined that it is wrong for one to have a male or female best friend outside of their relationship.

The skit-maker said every relationship should be built on the foundation of friendship, so that there will be nothing like having other ‘besties’.

Diva gave the suggestion during an interview, while sharing tips on what people should know and do in other to maintain a stable relationship.

She said; “Yes, I do believe in true love. The qualities I look out for are a long list. It is important to know one’s partner’s next moves. Friendship should be the foundation of the relationship. There should be nothing like having best friends outside your relationship. Be curious about each other but don’t lose respect for each other.

You should be there for your partner in times of happiness and distress, and respect each other’s opinion even if you don’t agree. I love a man that will agree with me whether I am wrong or right. He should just be on my side regardless.”

Meanwhile, CorrectNG recalls that in another interview, Diva Gold explained why she would not be comfortable with marrying a pastor.

She said that she is someone who likes engaging in naughty acts with her lover and she does not want to spoil a man of God if they settle down.

In her words; “I don’t see myself marrying an actor or an entertainer. Never, because I know what they do. I want a low key life. But wait honestly, I don’t care. I think it will give more leverage for more understanding though.

Let’s be sincere. For my Husband material, I want somebody that is really understanding, loves God more than me, can take care of his family, somebody who would be my best friend, humble, truthful, trustworthy and everything good sha. Also be very good in bed and PDA. I love PDA (Public Display of Affection).

Yes oh, I love PDA. I want him to spank my Bumbum in public. Kiss me, hold me tight. That’s the fun of it. My ex did all that, he spoilt me. That is why I can’t marry a pastor. I can’t. I’m sorry because I will teach him bad things”.
