What happened was God’s decision – Shatta Wale speaks on Wizkid’s inability to sellout Accra stadium (Video)

Popular Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale has lauded Nigerian Afrobeats megastar, Wizkid, despite his reported inability to fill up Accra Sports Stadium.

He sent a shoutout to Big Wiz who failed to show up for the concert due to security concerns as disclosed by the Joro crooner.

Shatta Wale said that whatever happened was not really Wizkid’s fault as he attributed the failure to sell out the stadium to the will of God.

He stated this during an interview to promote his forthcoming Freedom Wave concert with rapper, Medikal.

Shatta, however, affirmed that irrespective of what happened, the Nigerian Grammy-winning artiste is a household name in the world.

He said; ”Kudos to Wizkid. He is a household name in world music. Whatever happened was for God to decide”

Meanwhile, Ghanaian media personality, Marcoli earlier trolled the music superstar maestro, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun.

He took to his Twitter page and mocked Wizkid, saying the artiste was unable to sell out the tickets for his show at the 40,000-capacity Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

Marcoli juxtaposed his show at Madison Square Garden which was totally sold out with the Accra concert that he claims could barely make complete sales.

The show which was meant to hold on December 10th was organised by Live Hub Entertainment in conjunction with Starboy Entertainment, Rave and Finali Group Entertainment.

According to the Ghanaian TV anchor, he had always doubted the reports of Big Wiz selling out concerts with ease.

He tweeted; ”Wizkid sells O2Arena in seconds but can’t sellout Accra Sports Stadium in a Month?😂 I said it.”

Meanwhile, Wizzy’s debut concert in Ghana comes weeks after his music show at the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam, Netherlands in November 24, 2022.

Organiser of the show in Accra Sports Stadium, Live Hub Entertainment said in a statement that it will be the first of many of its kind.

The statement read; “The Wizkid show in Accra is only the beginning of an epic series of high-quality live events across Africa powered by Live Hub Entertainment. We want to be inclusive of all areas of Ghanaian society and have a youth focussed social impact element to all our programmes.”

Wizkid had also earlier confirmed the show by posting the promotional video on Twitter with the caption; “Ghana!! Dec 10 #WizkidLiveAccra ⁦@thelivehub_”
