What Don Jazzy did when I wanted to leave Mavin – Reekado Banks opens up

Ace musician, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, better known as Reekado Banks, has cleared the air on speculations that he had a fall out with Mavin Records CEO, Don Jazzy.

He said there is no issue between him, and his former music label boss as widely believed as he left the record label amicable because his contract expired, and he wanted to move on.

Reekado Banks opened up about their relationship when he sat down for a chat with controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze.

He was asked what issue he has with Don Jazzy is, and he said there is no bad blood as the all the label boss was move him from nothing to being where he is today.

According to the ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe’ crooner when he informed the Mavin boss that he wanted to leave after his contract ended and Don Baba J gave his blessings.

Reekado Banks said; “That man took me from absolutely nothing, I wonder why anybody would think there is a problem anywhere, there never was. Everything was amicable, the end of the contract came, I wanted to leave and he gave me his blessings.

I really do not understand why anybody would think otherwise. I feel like it’s just a tradition in the Nigerian record label business for artistes to break out angrily from their record label and I feel like that is being imposed on my relationship.”
