Nigerian activist and BBOG co-convener, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the lawsuit filed against her and 49 other Nigerians over their participation in the #EndSARS protests last month.
Recall that Yesufu was among the notable Nigerians listed in the criminal complaint filed by rights activist, Kenechukwu Okeke for their involvement in the #EndSARS protests have reacted via their social media pages.
In October 2020, Nigerians took to the streets to protests and demand an end to police brutality and the dissolution of the notorious unit, SARS.
Numerous celebrities and personalities lent their voices to the protests which gained national and international attention.
According to Okeke, the riot which followed the suspension of protests, led to the destruction of his properties, hence the reason for his suit to make defendants who promoted the #EndSARS protests be brought to justice.
Reacting to the lawsuit against her, Aisha Yesufu took to her Twitter account to engage her co-defendants with a question.
She wrote; “Hello #EndSarsList team mates. What colour of aso ebi are we sewing for our court appearance? #BlameGovernment #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria #GenocideAtLekkiTollGate #CrimesAgainstHumanity”
