We should support each other more – Rose May Alaba to female artistes

Rising Austrian-Nigerian musician, Rose May Alaba, has beckoned on female artistes to do more collaborations amongst each other.

Rose May, who is the sister of football star, David Alaba, said a lot of women collaborate with their male counterparts more than their female counterparts.

She spoke while appearing as a guest on Hip TV programme, Trending, which is hosted by Big Brother Naija ex-contestant, Chinonso Oparah aka KimOprah.

The singer said; “Female artistes should support each other way more. We always have collaborations with men but what about collaborating with each other? Collaborating with each other would even help us more.

Well, it may take time because female artistes are only just starting to get recognition. Personally, I think men collaborate more because they are more open than women. We should try and change that by complementing each other.”

Award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa has shutdown claims that as a leading female musician, she does not support her female colleagues.

The ‘All Over’ crooner stated that contrary to the widespread belief, she has done many collaborations with female singers.

The songstress took to Instagram story and played a song which she did with Ghanaian singer, Efya, and went on a rant asking who has worked with more women than her.

Tiwa wrote; “But they ALWAYS want to say TIWA SXVAGE does not like or support female artists. Please who has more female collabs and There is sooo many more not even listed here. Yall miss me with that bull sh$t narrative, I dey hustle money on my mind”.
