Video: I took my boyfriend to the concert because he was going through hard times – Lady at Omah Lay’s show
A UK-based lady, Jessani, who went viral for joining Afropop singer, Omah Lay to dance on stage despite being with her boyfriend, has elaborated on the backstory.
Recall that days ago, she stirred controversy on social media after dancing erotically with Omah Lay after the artiste called her on stage.
Jessani, who sat down for a chat during a recent episode of Off The Record, disclosed that her she and her ex-boyfriend were dating for less than a year.
She explained that she’s always been a big fan of Omah Lay and she thought it would be good to go to the concert because he was going through a hard time.
According to the fan, that prior to the incident, she and her boyfriend had talked about the possibility of being brought on stage by the singer and her man was okay with it.
Jessani said her boyfriend gave his permission and had encouraged her to go to dance with the award-winning music star.
She said; “We were in a committed relationship. We dated for just under a year… So, I am a huge Omah Lay fan. I have always wanted to go to his concert, I was gonna see him last year but the show got cancelled.
So when he said he was coming to London, I just bought a ticket. And I thought I will just bring my boyfriend because he was going through a hard time himself, So I thought this might get his mind off it.”
