US rapper, Lil Durk plans to apologise to Nigerians with ‘free’ concert

American rap star, Durk Derrick Banks known by his stage name, Lil Durk, has apologised to Nigerians for not flying down for a show after being booked.

The ‘All My Life’ crooner was scheduled to perform alongside Roddy Ricch at the 2023 Flytime Festival in Lagos this December but failed to show up.

He revealed plans to hold a “free” concert sometime in the nearest future as a way to make it up to his fans that were expecting to see him in Nigeria.

Explaining his absence in a tweet on Saturday, Durk said it wasn’t his fault. He reiterated his love for the West African country.

He wrote: “I got to make the show up for free for Nigeria even if I ain’t my fault [I didn’t show up for the December event]. Y’all my family I got y’all 4ever.”

His American colleague, Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr, professionally known as Roddy Ricch has revealed that he is considering acquiring a house in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Grammy winning artiste is currently Nigeria for Flytime Festival 2023, organized by promoters of the Rhythm Unplugged concerts.

Roddy Ricch took to his Twitter account and made it known that he has been enjoying the rich hospitality Nigeria offers.

He wrote; “I might buy a house in Lagos. It’s unconditional love.”

The rapper earlier announced his visit via the microblogging platform, writing: “Nigeria I’m coming to see you in December. Flytime Fest 2023: Let’s go!”
