Two ‘Obidient’ ladies travel in back of truck to participate in elections

A young lady simply known as Rebecca has revealed that she and her friend hopped a ride on a truck from Benin to Lagos in order to cast their vote in Saturday’s election.

She shared their journey experience via her Twitter page and disclosed that the truck drivers were kind enough to allow them tag along for free.

Rebecca said they are supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and their intention is to vote for him on the day of election.

According to her, it was a traumatic experience for them as they narrowly escaped a highway robbery.

The young lady explained that one of the driver’s head was broken in the course of trying to protect them from the armed robbers.

She said that when they reached Lagos, the truck drivers also gave them money for moving around.

Rebecca shared photos and a video capturing how the trip went and wrote; “I and my friend travelled through a truck over the night from Benin to Lagos overnight journey as we couldn’t get cash to board a bus and they didn’t want transfers.

All this just to vote Mr Peter Obi because FREEDOM IS COMING TOMORROW! The journey was slightly traumatic as we escaped being robbed, but it was worth it, tomorrow Peter Obi must win. Was an experience!

Kudos to the kind truck drivers, they protected us at all cost, gave us cash when we got to Lagos and ensured we got home safe. During the robbery attack one of the drivers got his head broken and kept saying thank God it was him and not us 🥹”
