Police officers at the Force Headquarters in Abuja have been captured on tape celebrating over the sack of Usman Alkali Baba as the Inspector-General of Police.
President Bola Tinubu sacked Baba on Monday, and replaced him with Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, in the acting capacity.
Tinubu also approved the immediate retirement of all Service Chiefs, Advisers, Comptroller-General of Customs from Service as well as their replacements with immediate effect.
In reaction to the news, police men and women broke into celebratory dance at the Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory.
There was a band performance and the playing of musical instruments could be heard from outside the office premises.

rotimi_egbewunmi; The outgoing IGP was an exceptional man. He definitely instilled discipline in the police force and limit their shenanigans. When you see Nigerians in the civil service celebrate an exit like this, it means he never condole their excesses.
