Popular Nigerian music act, Adedamola Adefolahan professionally known as Fireboy DML, has lamented over the rate at which promising young men lose their lives to the dysfunctional system in the country.
He took to his official Twitter account and decried how many young dreams are being cut short either by incompetence of people in relevant positions of power or failure to protect the lives of citizens.
The singer stated this on the heels of the death of 22-year-old David Ntekim-Rex, a Nigerian IT prodigy, who was shot dead by robbers in Jibowu, Lagos state.
Fireboy also said that he hopes the change Nigerians have been looking forward to in the country comes soon enough.
”I hope the change we want in this country comes soon enough. it’s really a jungle out here. too many young dreams dying.”
