“This is a dream come true” – Asake says as he prepares for his O2 Arena concert

Budding Afrobeats singer, Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake, has said that getting a chance to have his own show at the prestigious O2 Arena is a dream come true.

He is set to headline his concert for the first time at the 20,000-capacity 02 Arena in London on the 20th of August 2023.

Asake visited the event centre to take a tour and make preparations ahead of the date, so he was interviewed in the process.

When asked how he feels, the ‘Yoga’ crooner it is a dream come true ad something he had imagined and it was amazing to see it turn to reality.

He said that after shutting down the arena, his next goal would be to do 40,000 capacity venue after which he will move to Wembley Stadium with 90,000 capacity.

His forthcoming show is coming less than one year after he made a loud statement by selling out the 5000-capacity O2 Brixton Academy in London.

Though the Brixton concert ended in tragedy in December 2022, the YBNL act is set to make a return to the city to make things right.

In May, Asake announced the date for the show in a tweet which read; “My London family see you this Summer at The O2 Arena @TheO2 Sun 20th August 2023. Pre Sale Sign 🆙 Pre-Sale Tickets 10am 10.05.23 General Sale 10am 12.05.23 See you all then”.
